Resuming In-Home Sessions
Earlier this year we were one of the first in our industry to implement a Covid-19 Action Plan to help keep our customers, families and our staff safe. In March, due to government recommendations, we took a short hiatus from visiting our client’s homes.
This week, the NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the easing of restrictions on visiting families in their homes, effective from May 1st, 2020. This means we will be able to recommence home visits in the coming days.
Always careful
Vulnerable people are part of our livelihood - newborns, grandparents and young children - and even before the recent global pandemic, we were washing hands and practising our own version of social distancing in order to keep everyone safe and well. Our photographers are immunised and particularly careful during the cold and flu season.
Our reassurance to you and our staff is that we have already implemented a positive Covid-19 Action Plan, which we have devised for customer peace of mind and safety. We would like to assure you that there is no reason to reschedule any sessions unless you are unwell, and we continue to take every precaution advised by the state and federal health sectors.
Our staff continually monitor their health and we are also checking on the health of clients before attending each session – we absolutely never go to work sick, or in the home of a sick client.
Grain & Weave will be resuming in-home sessions as of Tuesday, May 12, and will be ensuring the following procedures are in place:
We will contact you before and on the day of your session to check everybody is fit and well.
Washing hands before, after and during each session is required of our photographers, following the recommended NSW health guidelines.
Fresh gloves and masks are made available to photographers and will be used if we need to get close to you or your baby.
We will limit any physical contact with you, the client, as this is discouraged at this time.
We may require you to assist by touching or moving your baby, and we will instruct you on how best to do this to minimise our contact with your baby. If absolutely necessary, we will ask permission before touching your baby.
We do not ever go to work sick. We are checking our temperatures daily and will not enter a home in which people are sick, have travelled overseas, attended a large gathering or been in direct contact with anyone who is sick or showing signs of any illness.
We are practising social distancing outside of work, where possible.
We disinfect our photography equipment after each session.
We will be conducting our ‘in-home’ projection sessions online to limit the amount of visits to your home.
Above all, we are committed to the continuation of bringing your family hope and excitement, with each new arrival in your growing family!
