Grain & Weave is a five-star rated, award-winning in-home family photography company and is made up of a small and passionate team of professionals and creatives with many years of experience.
Founded in 2016, we have visited families in their homes in over 145 suburbs and counting around the Sydney and Greater Sydney region.
Our customer base is loyal and excited to share their experience with others through gifting newborn photography gift-vouchers or by a simple referral to friends and family.
In 2020-2022 over 33% of our customer base were returning clients, with 18% being word-of-mouth client referrals.
Our team has grown to keep up with customer demand and each year we have continued to grow, even through the pandemic.

A mum of two, Adele’s eye for detail, empathetic nature and ability to think outside the box makes her your perfect guide through your experience with us.
Carla is the Production Manager at Grain & Weave and her job is to make sure your artwork arrives on time and beautifully presented.
When she’s not working with Grain & Weave, you’ll find Carla at home with her cat Poppy, curled up with a good book and cup of tea, volunteering with the Rural Fire Service, spending time with family, or pursuing one of her many crafty up-cycling projects.
Alex covers our Sydney and greater Sydney region and is one of the most passionate photographers in the business!
She has been working as a professional portrait photographer for over 20 years around the world and joined our in-home photography team in 2023.
Alicia is one of our photographers covering the Sydney region. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Photo media, Alicia not only has the skills to produce amazing images, but also has that rare ability to walk into a room and connect with a family from the first moment. Alicia is a highly sought after wedding photographer around the Sydney region.
With experience in studio and event photography, Reni is friendly and warm, but direct and straight to the point - a rare skill and great when working with challenging subjects! Her creative direction and eye for detail is one of her main strengths and kids warm to her bubbly personality.
John has an ability to connect with people and put them at ease within moments, which allows him to create beautiful and natural portraits that have personality. A trained studio and portrait photographer with many years of professional experience, John’s images take pride of place on literally thousands of walls in homes in Australia and around the world.
A father of two kids himself, John started Grain & Weave in 2016 to create a family photography service that made high-quality family photography accessible to all.
He quickly built up a customer base that spread the word and since then, John founded the company and build a hand-picked team who he oversees day to day. John still shoots around Sydney in between looking after his team and his roster of thousands of clients.
